These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your enrollment in and use of Crawford Legacy University (the "University"), including its website, member library, video lessons, field guides, notebook, and related services. The University is operated by Crawford Legacy Group ("Crawford Legacy Group," "we," "us," or "our") in Louisville, Kentucky.
By enrolling, creating an account, or using the University, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not enroll or use the University.
About the University
Crawford Legacy University is a private online education membership offering lessons taught by Jonathan Crawford on personal and professional development.
The University is not an accredited college or university. It does not grant degrees, diplomas, or academic credit, and it is not licensed as an institution of higher education. "University" is part of our brand name. Any certificate of completion recognizes that you finished the curriculum and is not an academic or professional credential.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to enroll. Each enrollment is for one person. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it current.
Enrollment, Price, and Automatic Renewal
Enrollment is a one-year membership, billed at the yearly price shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. You pay for the first year when you enroll.
Your membership renews automatically. Unless you cancel before your renewal date, your membership will renew each year on the anniversary of your enrollment, and we will charge the then-current yearly price to the payment method on file. We will email you a reminder before each renewal. You can cancel at any time.
By enrolling, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the first year and for each yearly renewal until you cancel. If we change the yearly price, we will notify you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and the new price will apply starting with that renewal. If you do not want to renew at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time through the "Manage enrollment" link in your account or by emailing info@crawfordlegacygroup.com. To avoid being charged for the next year, cancel before your renewal date.
When you cancel, your membership will not renew. You keep full access through the end of the year you have already paid for, and your access ends on that date.
Refunds
- First year. Your full library access begins as soon as you enroll, so enrollment fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Renewals. If you are charged for a renewal you did not intend, email us at info@crawfordlegacygroup.com within 14 days of the renewal charge. We will refund that renewal in full and end your membership.
- Billing problems. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us before disputing the charge with your bank. We will work with you to fix it quickly.
Admissions Windows
We may open enrollment for limited periods. We can open, close, extend, or reopen enrollment at our discretion. Enrollment deadlines shown on our website apply to new enrollments only and do not affect renewals for existing members.
Your Account
You will create an account with your email address and a password. Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Your membership is for you alone: sharing your login or giving others access to the library is not permitted, and we may suspend accounts that are shared. Tell us right away if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
University Content and Your License
All lessons, videos, field guides, text, graphics, and other materials in the University ("Content") belong to Crawford Legacy Group or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. The names Crawford Legacy University, Crawford Legacy Group, and The Pillars, and our logos and brand elements, belong to us.
While your membership is active, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Content for your own personal, non-commercial education. You may not:
- copy, download, record, or screen-capture the Content, except through features we provide for that purpose;
- share, publish, sell, resell, or distribute the Content, or post it to any website, social platform, or group;
- use the Content to create a competing product or program, or to train artificial intelligence models; or
- remove any copyright or ownership notices.
Member Benefits and University Content
Member benefits, such as early access and invitations to events, event discounts, the newsletter, and member rates on products, events, and services, are subject to availability and to the terms of each event or offer. We may add to, change, or end member benefits.
We may add, update, reorganize, or retire lessons and other University content at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular content will be added or will remain available.
Your Notes and Information
Notes and reflections you write in your private notebook belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can provide the University to you. We do not publish your notebook. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the University in any unlawful way; to attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that are not yours; to interfere with the security or operation of the University; to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download any part of it; or to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone in connection with the University.
No Guarantee of Results
The University is for educational purposes only. Jonathan Crawford's results reflect his own experience, effort, and circumstances. They are not typical, and they are not a promise or guarantee of any outcome. We do not guarantee any income, career, business, or personal result. Your results depend on your own work, decisions, and situation.
Nothing in the University is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or mental health advice. Consult a qualified professional about your own circumstances.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, including by sharing your account or redistributing Content. If we end your membership for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused portion of your current year on a prorated basis. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on Content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.
Third-Party Services
Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. The University may link to or rely on other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the University and all Content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the University will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crawford Legacy Group and its owners, team, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising from or related to the University. Our total liability for any claim related to the University will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crawford Legacy Group and its owners and team from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the University.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at info@crawfordlegacygroup.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally. Any claim that is not resolved will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the University before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above shows when these Terms were last revised. If you keep using the University after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes will not apply to disputes that arose before they took effect.
